We raised the bar with this Kickstarter Product video

Created to launch the ROAM ROPES Earbud product on Kickstarter, the video helped raise 125K.  The new buzz reached Atari, and weeks later, a partnership formed.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the ROAM Product video is to drive the success of the Kickstarter campaign by:

  1. Capturing attention in 15 sec with awesomeness

  2. Showcasing founder Steve as an expert

  3. Compeling viewers to back the project

  4. Motivating viewers to ‘share’ the video and campaign

The creative task

Elevate the product. Move away from a "lifestyle" brand and into the future of sound.

My team was responsible for guiding the project from concept through completion. Collaborating with brand and marketing to position the product through visuals and copy. Balancing concept & creative impact with storyboard & scene design, cinematography, schedules, planning, logistics, crew, equipment, actors, editing, animation and delivery of final video.

We had an extremely tight timeframe.  In a quick brainstorm meeting with the Roam team and designer IIMUAHII, we established our visual theme – THE FUTURE OF SOUND – a futuristic expression of the brand.

The video is a high art concept around "Setting sound free", within a future world of sound in which athletes in high art fashion freely and expressively move. It is a futuristic expression of the brand—elegant and experimental. An emotive, energetic powerful expression of music, movement and style.
